Allium senescens, commonly called aging chive, German garlic, broadleaf chives, or dumebuchu, is a bulbous herbaceous perennial, it produces up to 30 pink flowers in characteristic allium umbels in the mid to late summer. The foliage is flattened and straplike. 

Allium senescens is grown for its ornamental qualities. In the UK it has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. The plants are native to northern Europe and Asia, and introduced and naturalized in other parts of the world.
