Great Indian Plantain is a native to USA and is threatened in much of it's native area including the state of Minnesota and endangered in Maryland. Loss of habitat are bringing threats to this species! It prefers partial sun to medium shade in moist areas. This giant can reach heights of 8 feet, held up by its purplish green stems. This plant is host to many pollinators!
