Greater Tickseed, or Wood Tickseed, is native to the eastern United States. The plants produce masses of bright yellow/golden flowers on tall stems that are larger than other species. It is native to dry areas including fields, woodlands, thickets, and roadsides. It works very well naturalized in native wildflower gardens, meadows or prairies. Grows well even in poor, dry soil. Self seeds readily.
