White Whitlow-grass is also known as Arctic draba and Austrian draba. It occurs throughout the Northern Hemisphere. It is present in Europe, Asia, and North America from Alaska across northern Canada to Greenland, through the Rocky Mountains to Colorado and Utah.

This perennial is low growing, sometimes forming a mat or cushion. The flower has white petals and greenish or purplish sepals.
