These petite plants are native to North America, and are found growing natively in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and Yukon Territory. In the United States it is found in Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
