The Azores Spurge is critically endangered with only 20 known remaining mature individuals in the wild! It is an evergreen shrub with white-veined, thick, leathery blue-dark green leaves. The leaves are 3-6" long. During cold winters the leaves may turn to a brilliant crimson colour. The large flower-heads are yellow-green and are strongly honey-scented in spring and summer. The shrubs are often about 5' tall, though can grow up to about 33 ft (10m) tall in its native environment.
