This wild strawberry is native to Canada and in the United States (including Alaska). Fragaria virginiana strawberries are small, delicious, and rich in vitamin C. An easy-to-grow perennial plant. Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil and a sunny location, though can tolerate semi-shade. This wild strawberry was used to hybridized to create the modern domestic garden strawberry.
