Gentianella quinquefolia, also known as stiff gentian or agueweed, is a plant with five leaves and flowers that bloom in clusters. The flowers are tube-shaped and bloom in clusters, and can be light purple, blue, pink, red, or white. 

It is native to North America and can be found in meadows, fields, river and lake shores. Can tolerate dry conditions. It's a valuable plant for beneficial insects, especially bumblebees.
