Geranium robertianum, commonly known as herb-Robert, or (in North America) Roberts geranium, is a common species of cranesbill native to North America, Europe and parts of Asia, and North Africa. The plant has many vernacular names, including red robin, death come quickly, fox geranium, stinking Bob, squinter-pip (Shropshire) and crow's foot.
It is a perennial, and bright green ground-cover topped with cute pink flowers in summer. Once established, these plants will gently self-seeds and spread to form drifts. If they decide to grow somewhere that you don't like, they are very easy to pull up. An ideal ground cover for shade, even tolerant of poor soils under evergreen trees.
