This biennial flower is native to Europe, growing in sandy, grassy areas. Will grow well in acidic areas, avoid planting near limestone. It was the plant of the year in 1990 in Germany. If grown in the correct location, it will self-seed year after year. Blooming from July to August, it is a great pollinator plant for honey bees.
