It spreads quickly, growing approximately 2", 5cm tall, and commonly grows in rock and wall crevices, and along footpaths, in sun or shade. The leaves are evergreen. The flowers are very small, similar in shape to snapdragon flowers, and blooms from May to September. They bloom the first year from seed. Has average soil needs.
The plants are widely naturalized around the world, and originated in Europe.
