Bright chartreuse free-flowering. Foliage is velvety gray-green, and more deeply lobed leaves than A.mollis. Plants are robust, compact, and form thick weed-choking mounds.

The plant is often grown as a ground cover, and is especially valued for the leaves collect water beads, which sparkles on the leaves.
