Lilac are probably one of the most loved, spring blooming shrubs! Flowers are produced in massive amounts, completely covering the plants, and sending drifts of soft sweet fragrance filling yards for long distances. They are a favorite cut-flower also. Plants are very easy to grow, and often grow wild along roadways, not needing pampering of any kind. These seeds produce shrubs of various colors, including deep red-purple!

We've shared some images of the French Lilac, surrounded by drifts of Swallowtail butterflies! They feed on the nectar-rich flowers, and lay eggs on our Gas Plants (Dictanmnus).
