Penstemon hartwegii can potentially reach a height of 70cm (28 in). Grows as a bushy semi-evergreen plant with simple, narrow, fleshy, mid-green leaves and racemes of bell-shaped pink coloured flowers, up to 4 cm long, with white markings on a wide throat. They bloom in summer and early autumn.
