Rosa palustris, the swamp rose, native to much of North America. It can be found from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in the north, south to Florida and west to Arkansas and Ontario. 

The rose-pink flowers are fragrant when blooming. It prefers moist areas, and is quite happy when shown neglect.
