Sarracenia rubra ssp. jonesii develops a dense rosette of upright trumpet-shaped pitchers, often with distinct veination at the lid of the plant.

The large flowers are extremely showy, rose to dark-pink, and nodding with an umbrella-like style. They are held on tall stems above the plants. The flowers last several weeks, attracting spring pollinators.
