A lace-leaved vegetable that adds a light anise flavour to cooking. Commonly used in soups, salads, fish dishes, Indian garam malsala and Chinese five-spice powder, or brewed into a tea. Has been used as a digestive aid, for stimulating appetite, for digestive enzymes, relieving gas, relieve coughing, and to increase milk flow to breastfeeding mothers.

A hardy perennial that requires little maintenance and will have no trouble coming back year in zones 5 and above. Height 4 feet.
