Native to North America! Perennial blue lobelia has absolutely-stunning blue blooms held on tall spikes! Blooms are true-blue, and not a of violet. Plants are very cold hardy, especially compared to red lobelia varieties, and will return year after year reliably. Tolerant of many soil types including poor dry soils. Blooms appear in late summer and into fall, when few other plants are in bloom. Hummingbirds love them! We have had a very large clump of these for many years and we consider them one of our most valuable perennials!
