The White Trillium is an ideal plant for shaded and woodland gardens! Flowers are large, about 4", and perfectly white. The Trillium is easy to grow, and likes shaded areas with regular moisture. Plants slowly form large drifts, or colonies.
Each spring, at the end of the blooming period the flowers turn a pretty pink color.
The Trillium has been chosen as the official Ontario Floral Emblem flower. The White Trillium is native to eastern North America, from northern Quebec to the southern parts of the United States through the Appalachian Mountains into northernmost Georgia and west to Minnesota. There are also several populations in Nova Scotia, Maine, southern Illinois, and Iowa.
