This hardy perennial is native to North America, growing well in moist, or dry areas, with dappled sun. The flowers are yellow, bell-shaped, and creamy yellow, blooming in spring. They spread by means of long under ground stolons with most plants in a clonal colony. Flowering plants often do not set seed.
